Russian Uniforms

There were three basic types of Russian army line infantry: musketeers, grenadiers and jagers. Musketeers were the equivalent of French fusiliers, and were similarly equipped, although not similarly trained or supplied. Russian jagers were the equivalent of the French chasseurs, although again, their performance was not the same due to the general lack of initiative instilled in Russian troops of this period. The Russians maintained standing grenadier regiments, which were commonly "divisioned" together with musketeer and jager regiments.
